Hey everyone!
I hate to say that the website is going to take a little longer. I can't afford to have a website right now. But worry not, I will still be selling dolls! I plan to work through other companies like Alice's Collections, Junky Spot, and Denver Doll Emporium! Stay Tuned ~Bee (^-^)

Hey guys!
I have some updates on the shop today, the website is almost finished! I still need to create some new stuff for the shop so it won't be open anytime soon. I estimate that the shop will open around July. Until then, I am adding a new page! It will be a forum/comments page like the one on The Most Random Story's website. Anyway, I'll see you guys in the comments! Stay Tuned ~Bee (^-^) Hey everyone!
Since my school project is over and the Ruby prototypes are done, the making of Ruby is moving! We will get a new address soon and this time it will be a real domain! The new website will feature the Ruby Shop, new blog content, and a community for fans of Ruby! Thank you for sticking with me during my project, we will be on a hiatus while the new shop is being built and while we are working on new things for Ruby! The new shop link will be posted in the next post. Thank You for staying with us! Stay Tuned! ~Bee (^-^) Hello everyone!
I am happy to let you know that Ruby prototype's 1 and 2 are now finished! It's been a really fun few months, even though it has been difficult. With the prototypes I found that Ruby is going to need a LOT of revision. She is in desperate need of a better joint system, more proportion, and a more realistic face. I also found that 3D printing in nylon does not mean the quality of the doll lowers. Nylon is actually a pretty good material that can make a doll with a solid center of gravity that still feels very light and is easy to carry! I may not have to make any attempt to cast Ruby in resin at all because of this development. There are dolls that have a 3D printed element but they are way too expensive! The ease that comes with making dolls with a 3D printer should not have a final product price tag of $500+! 3D printing went well and was done using a Maker Bot and a 3D scanner. Overall, the prototypes were a success! As they are prototypes, there is still plenty of room for improvement! I can tell that the future of Ruby is bright! Thank you all for joining me in the making of Ruby!! ~Bee (^-^) I wanted to let everyone here know that this is going to be one of the last posts on The Making of Ruby for a little while! I am just now finishing my important school project and that means that Ruby is done for now too!
The next post will be a final progress report on the status of Ruby's original prototypes, after the school year ends (around the beginning of June) I will post an update on Ruby and how everything worked out, but for now... See You all Soon!! ~Bee (^-^) Okay, I know that I didn't actually post a lot on Tuesday BUT I do have some pictures for those of you that were a little disappointed and those of you that weren't. These are some pics of Ruby's finished body prototype. The prototype version is missing one arm, but she really only needs one! I needed to be able to show how the stringing works in the doll and that seemed to be the only option.
Anyways, enjoy the pictures and Stay Tuned! ~Bee (^-^) (P.S. the pictures are a little blurry, I hope you guys don't mind ._.) Hey! I wanted to let you guys know that I will be posting A LOT on Tuesday. I am taking the day off from school so I can work on Ruby! She is still in dire need of working arms as well as a bit of detail and extra stuff. I decided to do this because there is a test going on that I will not be taking so I would just end up in a room working on homework for six hours. I don't have that much homework so I thought it would be beneficial to work on Ruby.
She might just be finished by the end of this week! Stay Tuned! ~Bee (^-^) I have a picture of Ruby for you all!
It is kind of blurry but it is her face, I am quite happy with how she turned out and I am excited to share her with you. I hope you like her! Stay Tuned! ~Bee (^-^) Ruby has legs! We are making some very good progress! As soon as I get my videos edited I will post them on the Ruby Red Lollipop YouTube channel. I only recorded making the face and torso parts because my camera was dead and I wasn't going to wait for it to charge and let the inspiration disappear! I think you all will like the ones we already have though!
Also, we will have a new tab on the top labeled "International" IGNORE THIS!! It is not important right now! I am planning on adding this tab in order to reach people who speak other languages. The first ones will be Italian and French but I may add more later! But for the time being it won't be anything. (. _ . ) Stay Tuned ~Bee (^-^) Hello everyone!
This is just a more formal reminder that I will be on vacation during the next week and I will not be able to update the website! We will be on a brief hiatus, but don't worry. I have lots of awesome things to show you all when I return from my vacation. Thank you for understanding and Stay Tuned! ~Bee (^-^) |
